P-650 module ??
#1
I cart wheeled a P-400 doing 35 mph last year, so top speed is not my concern.
Moving my bayboat in and out of the backyard is. When I hook up to it The P-650 pulls it OK on hard top, but as soon as I get into the grass the quad grunts and moans and barely moves it. Exact SAME pulling ability of my 400.
What I'm wondering is if the holeshot module will give me more power below 3mph to move the boat in and out.
Does it also do it's majic in reverse?
If anybody is yanking their Module in favor of the new CDI, I'm interested in it!

I assume you had it in low range... mine would pull a full size silage wagon full of cut firewood, across a plowed field...I'll bet that wagon weighed over 4,000 lbs, & it pulled it fine, until I got stuck crossing the deep ruts...

Not too big. Only 18.5' center console w/ a johnson 120.
I'm mostly moving it from the drive way to the side of the house in reverse. It's a slow go process so as to not rut up the grass.
Yes, it was definately in low when going forewards.

Have you considered one of the front reciever systems, so that you could use the forward gear ( i.e. Montana Jacks, etc. )... also the new Dyna CDI, eliminates the reverse safety feature, & could help you back up a heavy item, with out using the reverse override button...

If the rest of your quad is stock, & jetted properly, you more than likely won't need to run premium fuel... there are several manufacturers, that make a front reciever hitch for you quad...

the modulator does help reverse. To me there's a bigger difference in reverse than forward. (I use a lot of power in reverse). When I back-up heavy things with the 650 I find that body position is very important so the machine doesn't bog down, I don't know if it's me but try standing in the middle of the floor board instead of sitting on the seat. Now if your backing up over you lawn the modulator will cause your lawn to be torn up faster. I find my old 400 had a lower reverse gear than the 650 (I assume same with the 700). You should try keeping the clutch engage in reverse too, or try a different aftermarket spring.
