Shocks can open a door for a alot of aftermarket shocks and alot more adjustability!

I have a friend that works at the Kawi plant in Lincoln, NE. He said there are crates with frames that say 750 Prairie right on them. He couldn't tell me wether they were fuel injected or not though. He did say he heard that they have about 20 prototypes completely built already. This message will self-destruct in 5 seconds... LOL

When do they come out with the 05' models? If it's soon i'll wait for the 750, if not i'll settle for the 700, kinda getting tired of riding the 300.

Thanks for the heads up about the lime green plastic Prairiewrench! I know there was a secret press meeting about a new Kawi machine recently but nothing can be said yet. I like the lime green color, but I just couldn't pay over double the stock plastic price for it from Penland. I know he is the only source for it, but his price sounds a little padded to me. It does look good though.

I would guess the 05 models would come out around September sometime like the 04's did.

I"m with you P633
I cant see spending 700 bucks on something that "looks cool" and does nothing for performance
I thought about trading in the 02....but I"m goona wait and see whats coming in for 05

If you guys will think back to last summer, Kaw. made the announcement that the 04 Prairie was a 700cc engine and that announcement was released to the press right about mid June (I remember this vividly b/c I had bought my new 03 Prairie JUST 6 WEEKS prior to the announcement...talk about bad timing on my part!). Anyway, my point is that even if they don't actually start selling the 05 Prairies until Aug or Sept of this year, that doesn't necessarily mean Kaw. won't make an announcement about the 05 Prairies sooner than that.

Happy trails...

Hello Prairiewrench and thank you for your post,

I plan on purchasing at 700 Prarie this fall. If this is true, I will surely wait until the 750 EFI comes out. The attractive features would be the EFI, real shocks and probably A-Arms and the bigger displacement.

Thank you for this valuable information!,
