i've got a scrambler 500 before i got my v force and i got it out yesterday and found that it quits at top end and you let it sit for a sec and put on the choke and it starts and runs fine, until you do another full throttle then it runs untill top end and stalls out. okay heres the question why?

 

sounds like you are running out of fuel

sticky float needle
floats out of adjustment

whens the last time you had the carbs cleaned/inspected?

is this on a v-force?

Is there a fuel filter on those things?

Im not very familiar with that bike?

 

yea theres a filter. i'm gonna check all above and was just trying to get more info before i start. thanks.

 

i would start with the fuel filter,,,,,,,then see how it does

a 'lean' condition can be damaging

 

I believe you are talking about your Scrambler rather than the V... I either case, check your gas tank vent tube. Easy to do, just loosen the gas cap ansd see if it still quits.
