Default Jetting; What your opinion on these.

I keep reading posts of Jetting questions,

Why aren't more people running these??<a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.auto-parts.shoppingguides.org/Exhaust-Oxygen-Sensor-for-Air/Fuel-Ratio-Gauge.html">exhaust oxygen sensor

seems like an easy fix, for people that are always changeing mods. Any opinions?

[L=exhaust oxygen sensor</a>

With all of the jetting issues i've had with my range alltitudes I might just have to get that set up! Could have used it before I took it to a shop with a high alltitude dyno. At least they seem to know thier stuff and I think they have it right for my frequent riding areas.

I use that very guage in my car. Works great!!!!

CAUTION: Don't use leaded race gas using an O2 sensor. It will foul the sensor quickly, and those things are'nt cheap!!!

Doc

do you use the 1 or three wire sensor. I understand the three wire, heats itself, therefore you don't have to rely on exhaust temp to be even at all times, ie idle.

Jc whitney, gauge 39.99 and sensor 49.99

I've got the one wire myself. I personally don't need it for setting idle mixture. Might be a really good idea though?

A good freind of mine has the same set-up and it amazes me. He can just "breath" on the accelerator and it will jump one or two lights just from the accelerator pump shot. Mine is very, very sensitive.

One more thing. If you are a cheap a$$ like me, you can go to the wreaking yard and pick up an O2 sensor a lot cheaper. Something you might want to think about?

I really like the thing.

What is the best way to use the sensor and gauge? Does one or both of them need to be mounted or can they be used just when jetting or tuning?

kawiyowee

you need both for the gauge to work, it wouldn't have to be mounted, but why wouldn't you mount them and know what you doing all the time?

Here's a thread on a similar product - Guage
Some of the guys that replied to this thread have experience with these systems and didn't think it would work on an ATV. If what I have read from the manufacturer is true, it should work.
