Default Mojave compression

Can someone check the compression on their newer mojave for me and let me know what it is.

Curious how you get a good reading with the de-compression device as well?
Has anyone ever had to replace their stator or CDI on an older one?

Share some knowledge guys, still having starting issues.
Thanks.

Default Mojave compression

should be around 80 to 115. that is compensating for the release. just pull the plug, install the gauge and kick a few times.

Default Mojave compression

Ya , i had to replace the stator on my mojave,
It would start REALLY hard and then work good for a little bit, and then It would jsut Start working really bad, like it was running out of gas or somthing!

What should the compression PSI be without factoring in the compression release ?
Is there anyway to temporarily by pass the compression release to check for optimal compression ?

I'm not surer how it works on the Mojave, but it usually involves a centrifugal device that alters valve timing so can't be by-passed. The earlier poster wrote 85 to 115psi and I would guess that is about right, check your compression and see what you get. You can calculate theoretical, from the compression ratio, (10 to 1 is 10bar or roughly 150psi) but that is a pointless exercise for the real world.
