Default valve adjustment?

I recently bought a p700.I had a 300 before this one.On the 300 I had to have the valves adjusted about 3 times whithin the first year.Is the 700 gonna be the same?I had it to my dealer today{for it's first service} and although he told me the valves where ok I don't even think he checked them, should he have?

Default valve adjustment?

If the motor isn't ticking then the valves are not loose. I never had any trouble with valves tightning up on my p650. So you are probly all set.

Default valve adjustment?

Ticking valves are only one indication of mis-adjustment. In most cases, the clearances will decrease over time due to wear on the valve seating surface. This will cause the valves to get tighter, causing poor idling, but no ticking sound. So....even though there is no ticking, you still need to check them periodically, because if the clearances have decreased, you need to re-adjust them back to spec.
