Default Brute 750 Vs Grizz 660

I may be saying good-by to Polaris. I am looking at a Grizz 660 or a Brute 750.
Which one rides better at FAST speeds??
Which one rides better in the rocks ??
I know the Brute lets me engage the diff lock any time can I do the same with the Grizz or do I need to be stopped??

Which one should I buy??

Not really able to answer your questions but I have a BF750 and love it,, Just wondering where in NJ you are as I am from NJ as well(Lambertville) and always lookng for new folks to ride with,, I had looked at the Grizzly and the BF and basicly chose the BF because I felt more comfortable on it, that was my deceiding factor between the 2.. The Grizz is a great mechine. I don't think your'll go wrong with either one,,

The Grizzly does better in the rocks, especially if you remove the anti sway bar. The Grizzly has more suspension travel and a softer seat. More ground clearance too I believe. Overall it provides a cushier ride than the Brute does, however not as cushy as a big Polaris from what I understand. The Grizzly’s throttle is a little less touchy when compared to the Brute Force, which helps to make easier to manage in slow, rocky situations.

The Brute is better at speed and can loft the front end easily in low range. If nothing else, it accelerates significantly faster and that can make a difference on the trail where you are constantly accelerating and decelerating. The Brute feels firmer when pushed and is a better jumper (more composed landings).

Both machines do better if you get rid of the stock 2 ply tires. They also become more stable in the fast corners if you change over to ITP C-Series wheels which have more offset than the stock wheels. My Grizzly is nearly 4” wider than stock with C-Series wheels, 26x12x12 (rear) and 26x10x12 (front) tires, and about 3” wider than my Brute (stock wheels with 26x12x12 rear tires and 26x10x12 front tires).

You can engage the Grizzly’s 4x4 button on the fly, but you have to be nearly stopped (under 2 mph) to engage the diff lock button (after you are already in 4x4 mode). Also when going from 2WD to 4WD, the Grizzly will engage right away and while in forward or reverse. My Brute Force seems to need to roll forward some before the front wheels will engage after 4x4 mode is activated. Also 4x4 only engages while in a forward gear on the Brute. After 4x4 is engaged, then you can switch to reverse and still be in 4x4 mode. Unlike the Grizzly, you can pull in the diff lock lever on the Brute Force (after regular 4x4 mode is engaged) at any speed.

Finally, the Grizzly has a better (more durable) belt drive system than the Brute does. You don't have to worry as much about smoking your belt on the Grizzly if you try to tackle a rough / steep trail in high range. In fact, the only time I use low range on the Grizzly is when going down a very steep hill or when towing a really heavy load...

Power/speed goes to the BF 750.

Fast, fun trailrides goes to the P700 (BF 750 right behind, but still it's behind, then Grizz behind both)

Ride comfort goes to the Grizz.

Just depends on what you want to do on your quad. I had my pick of these three a couple of months ago, chose the P700 SRA.
