I have installed one of these on my prairie. I installed the antenna in the plastic on the handlebars. I installed the reciever on the inside left plastic next to the airbox using 3M double sided adhesive tape. It hasn't moved. I mounted the solenoid to the frame rail under the seat using 2x hose clamps. I can take some pictures if it would help. I think I used a warn mount kit, can't remember. I ordered it from cabela's. The winch works great so far.

Torri, thanks for the reply. I put mine basically the same place you decribed. Was the power cables on yours a bit too long? Mine was I couldn't see trying to hide 4ft of extra cable so I got some new ends for them and cut them. So far So good

Yeah, they were a little long. I have them folded up and zip-tied. When I get a chance, I would like to trim them down a little and add new terminals. So far it has held up pretty well. Everyone was skeptical about using the 2x sided 3M tape. I have been riding hard and jumping a lot. It has not moved as far as I can tell. The wireless winch set-up is nice, especially when winding up the cable after pulling a Yamahoo out of the mud.

How Noisy is that winch? and where did ya mount the toggle switch? I haven't mounted mine yet. I'm thinking about in the left side plastic by the airbox. I hate drilling a hole in the plastic though

I mounted my antenna in the handlebar plastic kinda like you guys did
But used epoxy.....the sticky tape from ramsey is lame...I also soldered
some 18 guage wires on it to replace the flimsy tin foil
Mounted the solonoid on the flat plastic just above the radiator

I mounted my toggle switch using two zip-ties. I tucked it under the handlebar plastic on the left. You can't even tell it's there. I just couldn't decide where to drill a big hole in my $6000 machine. The ties seem to hold it pretty well, and you don't even know it's there until you need it. I figure with the wireless remote it is just used for emergencies anyway. I can take a picture if you like. I do not know how to post yet, so you'll have to give me an email address to send it to.
