Did a bunch of work to the 650, she's cool now. check my pics

Yesterday I was bored so I figured I would work on the old 650. First I dissconnected that stupid reverse overide button. No more stutter. Next I had purchased a used Holeshot module, so I wired that all up. I was raining out so I only took it for a short toot. On a cold engine it pulled the wheels up in high gear without a problem. I didn't even have to try. AWESOME. I pulled her back in the shop. I do alot of work on sleds all year around and have plenty of parts kickin around. I had a Kayaba HPG Racing shock from the front suspension of a 440 Skidoo. It is a piggyback rebuildable shock. I was exactly 1" longer than the stock rear shock in the 650. I just had to make new bushings to take the larger bolts. No probs. Voila, lift kit in the rear. I lifted the front 1" by sliding the struts up. It makes this machine look like a totally different animal. I changed all the oils and she's ready to rock. The rear diff had alot of water in it. I guess the filler plug had come a little loose. We were out cruisin the big holes last weekend so she got a bit wet. oops.
Well out next weekend to do some stump jumpin and mud flingin'.
I just added new pics on my page. Check out the new exhaust.

RAAAD... click on my pics, & you'll see a few sled parts have fallen my way as well... I personally don't like a lift, as most people with them, end up with CV problems, probably from binding, either when fully compressed, or fully extended... anyway, I seem to do well enough without a lift...
those extra shocks on the rear, were donated by ( I believe ), a Polaris Indy...

Chad, if you had water in your rear diff, it would be a good idea to change your diff fluid a couple times in the next while. I had a buddy that submarined his 450es. it took 6 oil changes to get all the water out!!!

Funny thing with mine is the front diff wont let water in but ther rear does. But, if I had to choose one to let water in it would be ther back one. Its easier to change and I have 5 gallons of mobil 424.
I have all the plastic off on mine currently doing some work myself.

Thanks guys, I will change the oil a few times. I have 5 gallons too.
Nice job on the rear shocks. When I'm done workin on mine I'll get some pics on here too.
I'm working on exhaust today. I had a full Muzzy exhaust system from my 99 ZX9R Ninja street bike, I'm using the polished aluminum can. I'm building a 2 into 1 header. Should be good and loud now. I'll post pics when I'm done.

That does look like good work. Keep us updated on the rear shock and how it performs.

Thanks. The shock seems to work really good so far. I have been rebuilding these shocks for years so I know they are good shocks. I haven't hit anything big with it yet, but I have confidance that it won't let me down.
