Stock for Stock, it is NO Contest. I have a Buddy that had a bone stock 400EX, and before I modded my 700, it was not even close. Now we both have pipes, and it is still No Contest.

 

I was at the track last night, we were running 1000ft, and I ran a 400ex. We both were running between 69&70 mph, but I was jumping him out of the hole about 10ft and could hold him off. He was lowered down and had a cobra pipe. What I want to know, is why my bike will not run any faster than 70mph? Hope you smoke him.

 

Your bike will not run over 70 mph because of the Cam, CDI, and Clutch spring/wieghts......

 

I have the epi clutch kit with the red&black springs in my bike, and a set of weights. What cams should I run with the Dmc duals? Does anyone make a cdi box yet? Thanks.

 

Raced a piped 400EX with my bone stock V-700 today, the 400 wasn't a problem. He probably weighed about 50lbs less than me also. Also raced a Z400 and a raptor both of which had mods. Get them out of the hole but after the 300ft mark they start pulling away.
