In-line radiator coolers

In-line radiator coolers
I'm on an never-ending quest to get my V-Force to run cooler out here in the high desert without buying an oversized radiator. So I looked around and found a couple of in-line radiator coolers.
One is from LC Performance and sold through Rocky Mountain ATV. It only has about 1" of cooling fins.
The other is from CFM Racing (www.cfmracing.com) and has 20 cooling fins. It is about 5.5 inches long. It is listed on EBay Motors as being for the Z400 but will fit any bike with 3/4" ID radiator hoses.
Both cost around $25. Go figure.
I ended up ordering both because I ordered the smaller one before discovering the larger. Both fit radiator hoses with 3/4" inside diameters.
The problem is, the V-Force radiator hoses have an inside diameter of 7/8". But not to worry, just tighten the provided clamps real tight. I don't have many miles on this setup yet. Just a few trips around the block to test for leaks. None so far.
According to the instructions, the LC Performance cooler is supposed to be mounted in the hot water return going into the radiator.
The CFM cooler didn't come with instructions so I mounted it on the hose coming from the bottom of the radiator (cold return) back to the engine.
They're advertised to lower the coolant temp by anywhere from 5-12 degrees. With summer fast approaching, we'll see.
