Default 25" Mud Bugs

Anyone got 25" Maxxis Mud Bugs on their machine, especially a Prairie 650 or 700? Did you notice a bad loss in performance? Are the lugs the same size as they are on the 26"+? How well did they do in the sloppy stuff? How good do they powerslide? Any detailed info would be appreciated! Thanks!

I run the 22" mud bugs on my V, I was worried at first about the deep lugs and power loss, i ride fast trails and coal hills, and this tire kicks *** !! no body follows me close cause they roost like a mother.

i had 26 mudbugs on a 300 bayou 4x4 great tire for mud have had them for over 2yrs now they hold up real well. dont know about the lug size on 25s though. better check that out before you buy. i bought 25 mudlites for my 650 instead of 26s and these have crap for lugs ,3 flats, and they are almost worn out after 5mnths.

i have a set of 25" bugs on a 2003 p650 and i didnt notice any power loss at all. i did loose about 2mph though, and they powerslide pretty good on some surfaces. they will shake your arms numb going slow on the highway and some hard pack surfaces, but when you speed up they smooth out. and in the gooey stuff they work extremely well. i was in a hole once (no water just clay mud and a little bit of soopy mud) the mud was about 14" deep. i was bottomed out and my tires were slicked over but i never got stuck it kept on going, i even stopped in the middle and still didnt get stuck. i am going to get another set when they wear out (prob. 26s though for a little extra ground clearance). now as far as the lugs i dont know if their the same as the 26" or not, but i dont think the 26s would hurt performance any more than the 25s.

That's the thing though, the 26" are a lot heavier than the 25" The 27" are even lighter than the 26"! While I too would like ground clearance, I don't want a tippy ride either at speed so I'm at a dilemma with these dang mud tires.
