Default cdi or timing key?

I have the $11 key from penland, plus a 1hr mechanic time to put it in. The key makes alittle difference, worth it? yes.

I went for the key and the DG3
Installed it myself....not all that hard
Absolute best "bang for the buck" IMO

Kawasaki; how much difference did the flywheel key make? I have had the DG3 for over a month and love it , but the flywheel key was'nt available yet. Don just e-mailed me thursday and stated that the flywheel key was in the mail. It is a 4degree key that is forged steel for $15. I was going to get Pendlands key until I found out they file them down and don't know what degree they turn out to be!!! Also filing them could weaken the key. Will I notice a difference with the new key? I want to beat the 700's but haven't had luck with that yet!

Alot...as in WOW
I too was a little skeptical when I saw the filed off part of the key
Got mine from Mike P. But I am not in the least worried about key failure
Any key will fail if flywheel nut is not properly torqued.
Will you notice a difference with a new key??????
YES absolutely YES
By the way where are you located?

Kawasaki; thanks for the reply. Yankton S.D. probably only a little over an hour from you.

Kawasaki; Yes the Neb. side is fun to ride the only thing is there is no parking along there so you have to know someone close by to park your vehicles. Also I've rode by the new bridge south of Vermillion, my cousin lives there. I live only 20 miles north west of Vermillion. We usually ride between Yankton and Vermillion along the river, there are (2) Prairie 700's (1) Prairie 650 and (3) Grizzly 660's that ride together.

soooo...how do you install a degree key?..is it extremely difficult?
the dg3 holeshot quarter sized sensor seems pretty straight forward tho..doesnt even require soldering..

Default cdi or timing key?

Some body on here had a step by step a couple months ago on the flywheel key
Fairly simple operation....just be real careful with the impeller....I used a 1/4 drive
on this.....you dont wanna break it
The DG3 is as easy to install as the holeshot...but the flywheel key works better
Do them both or get the CDI
