My v force is caughing out the airbox at an idle any ideas? It seems to run fine though. Any thoughts is appreciated Thanks, John A

 

Would have to know more about modifications done, elevation, etc. Sounds like it is lean, jetted wrong for elevation or vacuum leak ? Pilot mixture setting incorrect ? Post mods,etc.

 

Muzzy pipe k&N filter and 4 inch size holes on air box lid. Jetting is 145F 148R with .020 shim under needle, air screw is 2 1/2 Front and 2 3/4 Rear. elevation is 4500ft Thanks John A

 

I get the same noise, only when its warming up though. I have asked about this before and people think its a lean condition, its doesn't hurt the quad I think.

 

Try covering the holes in your lid with tape. Have you tried to set your mixture screws while running? Sounds lean at idle. I have heard improperly placed holes in lid (for airbox design) can hinder performance. Check thread on dyno for airbox vent placement, search for" dyno'd my V" ...I would cover the holes and change the intake snorkle.
