Your right SGT, we have run Mickeys cams on as small as a 665cc praire. There is no bottom end loss (mainly because of the CVT)
We made 67hp with the stock (mod) exhaust. I'm putting a 700cc engine to gether this week with the HMF Penland exhaust, it should be in the mid-high 70hp range.
We charge $600.00 Canadian to port a pair of kawi V heads, I would think Mickey would be close to the same.

Hey guys, we cut the vent tune (the one inside the engine) to 2 inches with a 60 deg angle towards the back of the engine and it completely stopped the oil from being blown out. The unfurtunate side is you must remove the engine and split the cases to cut it.
PS: this praire won the 4x4 drags, mudbug and pulls this weekend (ran 5.7 sec in 300ft) about the same as the YFZ450 on that track.
This was with a Dalton clutch kit for a stk 650!!
With Mickeys cams and our porting it makes over 60 hp from 5900rpm to 8500rpm and peaks in the low 70'shp

Hey shot gun, that was 700c but I just finished it on Friday night and didn't have any time to test with the new exhaust and stroke. Just got the jetting close and sent it to the races, with 72hp
I think there is still more in it yet, we made 67hp with the stk exhaust (drilled baffles) with 665cc.
I think we'll see mid to high 70's with another day on the dyno.
We make 80hp with 785cc's with the same porting and cams.
Based on 100 percent vol/eff (just for calculation's) with a 12 percent increase in displacement with the 785 making 80hp the 700 should make 72hp but due to the carb size the vol/eff goes down as you increase displacement. Therefore, acording to my calculations, we should be able to get with in 5or6% of the 785 with 700cc's (76hp or so)
I'll let you know in a week or so.

Just so that people dont think the #'s are a bunch of crap(I guess if you went to the races you would know that they are not), When we modded ray's engine crankshaft dyno to work on right side (prairie) crankshafts,It does show stock hp on these models in stock form.
Another thing to realize is that people should REALIZE how much work Dynoray is doing here on these v twins and that even a typical bigbore is not even close to this.A typical 785/800 big bire kit, even with a bit of head porting is NOT puting out 80 hp,but rather more like close to 70 if it is jetted perfectly. getting the last 6-10 hp out of these things is involving him doing more extensive porting,FINE tuning cam timing to the ignition timing for your purpose, etc.

Helix, you don't have to convince me that you and Ray know what you doing. Anyone that thinks these # aren't real would be a fool and in for a big let down if they lined up against you. You guys were HP crazy back in the snow sled raceing days, it wouldn't suprise me if some day you guys posted 100 HP.

Ray, those # are inpressive. keep up the good work. You mentioned carb vol/eff. have you ever looked down the barrel of the 32's on the priarie and V's. It almost looks like a insert in there. what would happen if a mm or 2 was taken out of the sides. Also, what would have to be done to get the gas lines and petcock large enough to handle alky.

I think the carbs are one place where a lot of power could be gained, with the BF750 they stepped up to 34's, so you know the 32 were at the end of there line with the 700cc. I'd like to see the 34's up close, to see if they were the same carb with a thinner insert.

Hope to get to meet you guys....but still no motor yet. take care.

I think ALLTOY's reported that he took a few mm out of the inside of the carb barrels... But, if I remember right, I think he said he trashed one, going through it, because they were so thin, also...

Thanks shotgun, I haven't tried boring the CV carbs (might open a big can of worms there)
I'll have a set of the 34mm carbs to test as soon as they are available though.
We forgot to take our digital cam to the races last weekend so I don't have any new video yet. Couldn't see anything through the dust for a half hour after Helix made a pass with the DLX600 anyway. LOL.
I won't forget the camera next weekend (I hope) LOL
PS: we may see 100hp sooner then you think, wink wink, nod, nod.
It's nice to see the prairie stompin YFZ's, Raps and Predators though, LOL
