what to expect from dyna cdi??????
Everything is connected properly. There's 3 plugs you disconnect from the stock cdi and you just plug the new one in the way the old one was.
As for premiun and rejetting, yes. The papers that came with it did say rejetting might be needed for maximum performance gains.I would think I would see some difference even without rejetting.
This is what happened.
My buddy and I both have p700's.
We raced about 100 to 150 yards with stock cdi's.
Due to our weight differance I beat him by a quads length.
I put my dyna cdi on and race again with the same results.

Hardwood,
The first thing you should notice after installing the Dyna cdi is that it idles a little higher! You should also be able to see a definite increase (at least 2 or 3 mph) in your top-speed. Lastly, you should notice that it pulls slightly harder in the mid-range as compared to the stock cdi...I especially noticed how it pulls hard from 0 to top-speed with the Dyna cdi, but it only pulls hard from 0 to about 50mph and then slowly climbs to top-speed with the stock cdi. If you don't notice any of these 3 improvements, then you should probably try to re-install it and/or send it back to Dyna for testing.

what to expect from dyna cdi??????
Thanks everybody,
I did reinstall it.
The first time I installed it, I didn't disconnect the battery cable.
This time I did.
I only had time to try it on the street in front of my house.
I punched it and about flipped over.
I'd never tried punching it on pavement before, so I don't know how it would've reacted with the stock cdi but there was a lot of power there.
I'll take it out this weekend and really test it.

Thats strange....I didn't have to unhook my batt. connection to get my dyna cdi to work properly (even tho that's what the instructions say to do ). Oh well, as long as its working for you now!
