My buddy next door has a Prarie 400 (97) and his stock muffler sounds like the packing has burned up.Sounds "tinney" ...replacement stock muffler is $150..any suggestions on replacement (after market) ..would be apppreciated...

Supertrapp IDS series would be the best, but prepare to spend approx. $250. I believe Cobra also makes an exhaust for the Prairie- less cash, but zero increase in performance or noise control.
