Clearance from the bottom is 10.6" so I find it is more stable than the others...and i dont want to hear about needing higher clearance going through mud bogs etc...i've had a 700 almost a year and i go through that stuff like nobodys business....power means something.

Guys..instead of the speculation and passing on 25th party info, wait till they hit the stores and see for yourself..thats the best way to judge. I liked it but my preference is still the SRA...then again, I'm not a speed freak and really like the low centre of gravity and superior handling to that of any IRS.

Does the BF have a lower center of gravity? I thought the BF would have a higher center of gravity.... Many be it's different in NB? Lol

LETS CLEAR THIS "1" thing on the gearshifter.... it's an I (eye) not a one.

DOA said : I still think that on the fly ajustable supension would be really cool like some cars have now, down for speed, up for mud/rocks. Make it better on CB's and safer at high speeds but still have the ability to rock climb and go through mud. Maybe an aftermarket company could come up with something....
I was thinking the same way before the BF was even around.... Maybe with KOD welding and Nyrocs planning etc... we all could get together can make one that would really rock. After we have one made we then can put a sensor on the bike so it senses what type of train the bike is travelling and adjusts the supension for us automatically.

I agree with kawaiguy about the handling. I would guess that the BF is the best handling IRS, but not as good as a P700. I think the atvconnection comment in the review says this same thing. I also think the person that said it handled bad is either a kawi hater or heard on of those stories 4th hand that got changed as it went. The test rider pictured in the atvrage photos that rode it was a griz racer. He said the BF was the BEST irs machine as far as handling goes.

On the fly adjustable springs? That is gonna be a little hard.

I have been tempted to convert the P650 to Dual a-arm.

If we could pool resources we probably could make a conversion kit that uses the same brakes and stuff.

I think we need a new steering knuckle in order to do it right, so that the low ball joint will be closer to the disk. Customfabandweld can make upper arms out of chrome moly. I am sure we could use the springs off an artic cat (not a griz).

Maybe me or somone else can read on the internet about what the most desireable suspension geometry settings are? I think we can learn from other people's knowledge on this subject, but we might not want the exact same settings as a racecar. We should also look to see what the AC650 (not the griz) uses for steering knuckle geometry and learn from that.

What about an Air-Shock system to raise and lower for different riding situations, Nyroc?

Like you say, the Grizz racer liked it best of any IRS he drove, it pretty well has to be better at handling with lower center of balance. With a simple 1 1/2" lift those who want it can have the exact same clearance as the Cat and Grizz. The best of both worlds, you can't take the Cat or Grizz down for speed racing.
I can kick the kitty pretty bad on the old logging roads but in the rough, she has me. Six of one, half dozen of the other. That's where an on the fly lift would be the ticket for both worlds.

Why do the reviewers here on the connection say its no good at high speed and tippy? Also wasn't there more negative comments something about the transmission?

I think they were nit-picking. Some of you guys need to read between the lines. A reviewer sometimes feels the need to pick at something in order to give an objective review. It is a kind of habit for them to look at the good and the bad. I think they were reaching for things to say, since they really couldn't find anything meaningful to say. Those things came out of their mouths, and now we have people that take things WAY TOO SERIOUSLY are looking at what was said uncer a magnifying glass. No offense intended, I just honestly think what the BF did during skidding was next to nothing.

I think the engine idled during the skidding, and the belt disengaged basically. It is nothing. It just caused an insignifican't delay for the motor to wind back up when they hit the gas again.

I certainly respect your opinion on this nyroc. I am excited about buying a new quad. I've been looking for over a year now and have thought alot about all of them.

I would assume everything is gonna be available next month. I may be heading back to the dealerships again to check out everything. I think the Brute Force would be out in July along with the 05 Prairies and I also like the look of the Twinpeaks version in yellow. I also considered a Rincon for awhile but think its pretty much ruled out now. I also want to look at the New King Quad EFI also.

I would like to hear more detailed reveiws and reports on the Brute and King later on. Nyroc do you know when they are expecting the Brute's release to dealers?

It should be an exciting summer.
