Brute Force Thoughts

my thoughts. yank the motor, give it to mickey d and have him bore and stroke it to the moon, then put into my 650p frame. it will take some time to get used to the new BF. I DONT CARE FOR THE IRS.

As far as the handling goes on IRS quads, it is a trade off. If you have a smooth ride/soft setup you would get tons of body roll. If it's stiff like my Arctic-Cat you really don't get that great of a ride and the only real gain is ground clearance. I personally think IRS is way over rated, and if I was goning to buy new it would be the Prairie, I am having a heck of a time trying to get used to this ridiculously high center of gravity.

Kawasaki and Suzuki are business partners regarding Research and development for a few years now. Therefore the Brute Force (BF) 750 CARBED 4x4 IRS is the BIG brother of the Twin Peaks (TP) 700 EFI 4x4 IRS(some styling differences) Maybe they re trying to see if the 750 carb and the 700 EFI (Kaws old Vtwin) will be similiar in performance, or out do one another!?! Perhaps its a reliability issue - carbs are much more reliable to work with when sh3t happens in the middle of nowhere! EFI problems in the middle of nowhere = TROUBLE! Carbed motors are easier to mod in relation to the lack of sensors which must work in unison to each other on an EFI motor. Nowadays moding an EFI motor is both physical(pipes cam etc) as well as electrical , its computer or "BRAIN", which ALSO has to be moded (reprogrammed/recalibrated) to work in unison with the cams, pipes, SENSORS, and whatever else comes up. I know of many snowmobilers who choose carbs over EFI just for that reason .When mountain riding fom 2000ft up to 10000ft who wants to take a chance on "ELECTRONICS". I'm sticking to the carbs. Have you seen the bills for tune-ups/diagnostics/repairs on an EFI motor . All I know is that its quite a few dollars just to "plug" in the diagnostics, let alone find the problem. I'd look towards the snowmobile industry to find out more about these issues!! And then I could be wrong about the whole thing!! RATTY

It blows my mind how Kawasaki can unveil something this good, and then in 2 days time, people are picking it to the core like freakin buzzards.
For the anti-IRS guys- first, get a sport quad. second, if the original prairie would have had IRS, then we wouldn't have to hear any of this $hit from you, because IRS would be the only way to go. That sole factor kept the Sportsman 500 top dog for like 5 years.
For the "this thing is ugly" guys- sorry, you're just too critical. Find a Bombardier to call ugly, because thats the ugliest thing out, and most quads look good enough anyway. They can't all be shaped like Grizzlys.
For the Brand loyal bashers- hell, I'm wasting my breath here. That crap won't ever stop. Just enjoy being jealous til your manufacturer makes something new (unless you ride honda, and by the time Honda gets disc brakes and differential lock, everyone else will be flying spaceships around).
There isn't anything you can dog out on this quad until its released. Then if it has some defects in workmanship, then you can rag on that. Its so silly. Like the old Grizzly push button locker vs. the Prairie lever locker. That was so lame. I was just happy as hell that they both had the ability to lock the front end.

I can do that with IRS. And still have more clearance than you do. Have you ever ridden one or do you just believe everything you hear?
Giving what you want, I guess thats why the P700 is readily available. If you want to haul crap around, then by all means get a straight axle. Hell, get a manual transmission. Basically, get and ACT Arctic Cat 500. Its just funny to hear somebody talk about how they use a quad for work purposes, and then they try to get all technical on sport handling characteristics of a 600lb. 4x4.
The Brute Force is the best looking design yet. Give it a straight axle and then all thats right back up in the air again. There is a reason kawasaki did it. Probably because the majority asked for it.

First off I think Kawasaki needed an IRS quad. That was a no brainer. However after finally owning one I am more than a little dissapointed in the way it rides and handles based off of everything I read about how great they are. In fact, it doesn't handle. LOL. I would buy sloid axle if I was buying new. That just suits my style of riding. In my opinion the Prairie 700 is the perfect match of sport and utility. To each their own, I'm sure the Brute will set new standards and probably address most of the issues I have with my Arctic-Cat.

one thing that perplexes me is this..hth can you ppl afford to go and drop 6k on the 650 or 700 ,then another 1 or 2 k modding the crap out of it ,knowing that 1 year later something better will be out, only to say screw it and go get the next latest quad...cant you be happy with what you've got or is it all just wishful thinking..my wife would blow a frigging gasket if i said "hey baby..i know ive just dumped 2k into motor and suspension mods on my 6 k bike but F*&K it im selling and starting over on an even more expensive unit"..this sounds like a terrible waste of money..if your loaded thats one thing but like most of the US..im not..i like my 650 and ive spent alot of time and tears making it "my" 650...
