V-twin limp mode Q?
#4
Ok ya'll don't know so it's ok. I'm refering to the problem that Arctic cat has with their v-twin 650 04's, their is a problem that is with the electrical system that makes the belt slip and in some cases burn up that has many owners wanting the NEW 05 HEMI 650 Single.
Ya'll don't have this problem with yours, It's cool

hey fastcat, ive gotta 2003 p650 and the only time its went into limp mode is when i unhooked the belt trip sensor (trying to figure out a way to bypass it). i havent heard of the p650s having the limp mode prob like the ac650s. you said it makes the belt slip and burn up. i wasnt aware of that, i thought limp mode only prevented the motor from revving over 3600 rpms or something like that and wouldnt let you switch to 4x4 mode.
it doesnt make any sense though that the ac650 has the prob and the p650 dont.

The kawi 650 does not have that problem like the 04 Cats do. My buddy has a 650 Cat and had it happen three times to him so far, easy to fix with the cross over reset but might be a little embarrassing if it happened in the wrong place.
Artic-Cat will have to fix it for you guys, it's their fault, not kawasaki's !!!
My buddy is talking of trading in for the Brute, Cat is pissing him off with no fix for the wimp mode.
DOA
