another primary spring ??
i want to get rid of the dead spot at around 40mph. i was thinking about getting the epi pink spring, but am concerned about not being able to do wheelies. can someone tell me what would be the best spring for me. i do mostly trail riding, i want to still be able to do wheelies, but would like some better power in the middle of the powerband. thanks again

Do you have any other mods yet? I don't have the pink, but have tried others. I don't think it would have much impact on wheelies. The Dalton kit (weights and spring) is a good choice also. Probably best when combined with dual pipes, jetting and airbox mods. By the way, my daughter has the predator 90.

no mods, except for k & n air filter. have you have any problems with the predator. we had to welds break on my sons, where the gas tank mounts and where a heat sheild is on the right side. he only has about 20 hours on it. i am very disapointed. i could take it back to the dealer i guess, but i just fixed it myself. plus my son would die if the dealer had it for 2 months.

Had the starter replaced under warranty. Other than that, it's been fine except for a few roll overs I really like the looks the predator has and it was my daughter's favorite when we were shopping around. The interest rate was excellent also. I think her favorite feature is the factory horn, but I don't like it sometimes.
I would strongly recommend getting exhaust for the V. The muzzy exhaust is pretty popular. I personally have the Duncan fatboy duals. My guess is performance is pretty close on most of the major brands. Twin cylinders+ dual pipes turns up the "cool factor" of the V quite a bit and the gain is quite noticeable. It sounds like you're starting to get hungry for a little more power. In my opinon this is the best place to start, although it is a little expensive. I know you were only inquiring about a spring, but I'll go ahead and throw this in

thanks for the help. yeah, that horn does get pretty annoying. i would have thought my son would have wore it out by now. i posted another question about exhaust. i really like the look of the duals, and the sound. but i wanted to take it to the hatfields and mccoys trailsystem. do you know of any duals that will not get me in trouble with the dnr. i am not worried about neighbors, just dnr when i go to the public trails. thanks again.
