has anyone here ever ran 27x8-12 and 27x10-12 mudbugs on their machine???? How do they handle? Just curious to see how they run..those are the narrowist tires i've seen in that height..thanks!

I have 27x10x12 Mud Bugs all around on my Prairie 650. I just put them on to replace 26" Mudlites. I was expecting the Mug Bugs to ride rougher then my Mudlites, but to my surprise they ride smoother then my Mudlites.

i have the 10" 12" combo on my machine. they handle as well as any tire exept the radials. and mud as better than anything but the true mudder (Outlaws, zillas, EDLs). They are an excelnt all round tire!!! go for them! you won't be disappointed!

How deep is the tread on the Mudbug? In looking at your pictures, it looks like the Mudlites have deeper lugs. Is that true? Also, how do the mudbugs wear? I have better than a 1000 miles on my mudlites and still have 60% tread, but am considering new tires this fall as I will be entering a large mudbog competition, in Saratoga, NY in Sept., and want the advantage of new tires. I was thinking of 589's, or Good Year Mud Runners, but the mudbugs might be a better choice if they ride smoother than the mudlites. And, no I do not want a full out mudding tire, as I only mud 15% of the time. The rest of the time is spent fast trail riding. One last question, do you feel that the 27" tire hurts high speed handling, as opposed to a 26" tire? Thanks for any advise/ answers you have.

The thread on the Bugs is probably close to 1.5" deep. I don't think the Mudlite has deeper lugs. I would think that they are probably pretty close in depth. My bike is currently at the dealer getting all tuned up for our big 1000km trip across Newfounland in early August, so I haven't had a chance to put many km's on the Mug Bugs. But from what I've heard from other people, I think the Mudlites might wear a bit better then the Mud Bugs. When I took the Mudlites off my bike, I had almost 5000km's on them, and they still looked great. Too bad for the shredding inside of them. One of my buddy has a Foreman 450 with Mud Bugs, and he has over 4000km's on his tires, and they are also wearing great, so I think it will be pretty close.

I know a few people with 589's, very nice tire, but very heavy. Mud Runners also seem like a nice tire, but I've never tried them out. If I remember correctly the 27" Mug Bugs weight less then my 26" Mudlites, so that's pretty impressive for a 27" Tire.

I think your type of ridding is very close to mine. I ride a lot of trails, but once in a while, you have to go through a nice mud hole, and you want to make sure that you have the proper tires to get you through the hole.

I don't think that the 27" will hurt the handling. I made a few high speed passes, and it felt very nice. I couldn't beleive the difference in height from the 26" to the 27". The bike seems to sit a lot higher then before.

I have 27-10-12 Mud Bugs on my kodiak and they handle great..i cant tell much of a difference from stock. Really smooth also. Great mud tire
