when racing GNCC you would you still be able to compete in a utility class without shaft drive?
I know from alot of unfortunate experiences that high hp atv's that are chain driven are prone to "some sort of let down" in the chain area alot more often than a shaft drive plus the V weighs 100+ pounds more.
BUT It does give you the option to make a longer swingarm and obtain more gearing options.

Skat trak was in vegas last weekend for the vegas to reno race, I went to tech inspection and got to talk to ken stuart from skat trak the guy that built it, I asked him the same question, how much he said around five thousand, it was a 530 chain, it looked like quite a bit of frame work to beef it up for all that torq, plus the case I would have to be split, looked like a lot of man hours, but if you can't run at least 90 out here in a desert race one of those class 8 unlimited trucks will just run you over.
