I guess the Brute Force is not highly de-tuned after all!!!!

I was just reading the Kawi forum on Highlifter, and ssroadrunner owns a Kawasaki dealer in south ga called Planet Cycle.
Here's what he had to say about the new Brute Force.
"I got my bf 750 yesterday. i am a dealer in south ga. it is incredibly awesome! very good ride and extremely powerful. it hooks up great in a straight line drag race with the irs!already outrun a p 700 with numerous mods(PIPE, JET KIT FILTER, HL BOX)WHILE THE NEW WAS STILL BURNING OFFF!i could not resist.bring on the king quad, there is only room for ONE KING! p. s. i got it right here!"
Swamp_Monster was over to Planet Cycle to try it out. Here's what he had to say.
"Ok. I just got home from Planet Cycle and riding the BF 750i. First off I want to thank ssroadrunner for just throwing the key to me without even knowing me. Most dealers these days won't even start a quad up for you before you plop down mega cash for one.
First impression: I realllly like it! The only thing that I really have to compare it to is the trusty ol' battle wagon: the 550. To me the 750 "feels" physically small, and at 600lbs I guess it really is compared to some of the other big-bores. Power wise, it is a beast! The IRS just squats the rearend and it sling shots out of the hole. I was impressed with acceleration in High and Low range. The compression braking is right on. As soon as you let off of the gas you can feel it. The gear shift was very easy to use and didn't feel as "hoaky" as some other automatics. There are notches for each gear and there is no question what gear (range) you are in. I tried High range 2wd, 4wd, and 4wd-locked and loved the feel. Then I went into Low range 2wd, 4wd, and 4wd-locked, and that's when I noticed the big grin on my face. This quad has plenty of torque to spin 29.5"s!!!! The IRS felt very plush, which I assume can be stiffened up with the adjustable shocks. I am not sure if it was just this bike or not, but there didn't seem to be a lot of the plastic splash guards underneath it. Very open to see everything. The radiator doesn't seem to be protected very well, but it shoud cool very well.
Gotta run for now guys. Mine should be here next week sometime."
Also another interesting note that ssroadrunner mentioned to Swamp_Monster
"I just wanted to start a post to pass along this tid bit of information that I was given yesterday by ssroadrunner (local Kawie dealer). He told me that the BF 750i actually runs a 4 X 110 spread, like the Hondas and Yamahas, instead of the 4 x 137 like the rest of the Kawies. He had a set of 27" Mudlites on C-series wheels to go on the BF when it came in, but the standard Kawie pattern would not fit it."

WOW....it sounds like the brute force will a beast. I was looking at possible getting another big quad that has IRS to go with my P700 SRA and that sounds like it could be an all Kawasaki family.

we will still have to see about the detuned part. Look in the service manual and compare cam timing with the V and Im sure they have done something with the ignition timing. The air box is certainly chocked up and remember the compression is only 8.8 to 1.
WHEN I GET MINE I WILL FILL YOU IN.
WHEN I GET MINE I WILL FILL YOU IN.

I agree... 8.8 to 1 is horribly low compression... but, they may have done that for both limiting the power, & it will also likely run much cooler... I know it won't hold a candle to my old '02 though...LOL...

ZimRaptor,
Apparently you have never participated in or watched a muddy XC quad race. Just 9 days ago, I earned a 5th place overall finish out of 32 quads in a local XC race (most these 32 quads in my B class race were sport quads including Raptors, Preditors, 450Rs, YFZ 450s, etc.) and the 1st place overall in my race went to a guy on a Honda Rincon 4x4. On a national level, Scott Kilby (modified utility class took home a 1st place overall finish in the a.m. GNCC race earlier this year in Florida on a modded P700...in this race, Scott beat approx. 200 quads, most of which were sport quads. Of course, when the XC course is bone dry, the results may well be the opposite. My point is that sport quads don't always "waste" a utility quad...it all depends on the conditions of the race course. Personally, I enjoy seeing the look on a "faster" sport quad rider's face when I pass them during a muddy XC race.

I agree with MIKEY... nothing like having that reverse gear in the tranny, when you slide in the "grease", past your turn, & into the thicket... drop by any place these big V Twins are running, & you'll find them doing some amaizing things... in this day & age, anything is possible... it is even possible to mod up a sport quad to keep up with my "lead sled" on the drag strip... if you want to spend enough money...LOL...
