Default Tell me what to get...

I'm fed up with my 2002 Polaris Sportsman 700 and it's time to get rid of it and get something else. Seriously looking at either the new Suzuki King Quad and the Kawi Brute Force. My type of riding is mostly tight, twisty, "in-the-woods" kind of trails with a lot of whoops and hill climbs. On occasion I will find a big nasty mud hole but not that often. I want a quad that I can plow the driveway with and do other light "utility" work with as well. I still own a 2000 King Quad 300. Other then the fact it rides like a tank and is slow the quality is leaps and bounds over the Polaris. The Sportsman has been the most unreliable POS ever. It has never run that well from the beginning and is constantly in need of service. It could be that I bought it when it was a brand new model and the bugs hadn't been worked out but I don't know. I don't want to make that mistake again, that I know! Anyway- convince me which I should get? The Kawi Brute Force....or the Suzuki King Quad 700? Also, would it be best to wait a year or two to let the bugs get worked out or is that not as big an issue with the Kawi's/Suzuki's as it has been with my POS Polaris?

Thanks!
Justin

I had a SP700 too and I HATED IT!!!!!!!!!! I sold it after owning it for 4-5 months. I have a Brute Force now and I love it. It's not good in the tight stuff though. For those conditions, the ONLY utility quad I would recommend is the Prairie 700. Nothing is better. If you have to have IRS, get the Rincon for that type of terrain. The jury is still out on the KQ700 since no one has it yet. I bet it's awesome though.

Thanks CAM650. What about the BF have you found to be not good in the tight areas? Is it just too big? Or something else?

I had a Prairie 700 and the difference in handling in tight trails is night and day. I guess it's the nature of IRS. The solid rear axle on the Prairie was AWESOME in those conditions. The BF doesn't turn nearly as precise. It'll still put a huge smile on your face with all that power though. If I were you, I would wait for the KQ700 and see how it handles.
