Screw rocksalt, shoot to kill. In Texas, you can protect your property after dark with DEADLY force. Just don't shoot them in the back. Dead people can't sue. Security cameras with motion detectors would be handy for the home and garage. The prices have come down a lot.

Sorry to hear about your loss, I hate thiefs and liars. I believe if you lie, then you steal. I have seen it too many times.

So if a neighborhood kid is taking a short cut through your yard it's OK took shoot too kill as long as you only think he could be stealing and he is coming toward you? If I break down in front of your house and I walk through the yard too ask for permission too call a tow truck I could basically be shot. This is why other states have adopted policies against this act. This would be a great law if we did not have so many people in the low end of the gene pool. I hate thieves, but we do not need trigger happy people shooting at innocent people.
Sorry for the loss Paul. THese toys are expensive.....too expensive not too insure.

Gary,
I didn't say "if i think". I will kill the sob if they ARE stealing (something of a great value or threating me). I will use GOOD judgement. I am more afraid of the 12-13 year old punks around here. They have NO qualms about killing you over fifty cents. The system is failing us. They don't have a conscience, I do and would hate to have to take someones life, but there are some people that are pieces of crap. I would rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
Let's not get too bogged down in different beliefs of gun/anti-gun ideas.

Again, sorry to hear about anther THEIF stealing someones hard earned toys.

I am sure you would use good judgement. I actually like the law....the only thing that concerns me is the low end of the gene pool type thats gonna shoot whomever steps foot on their property no-matter-what. This is the EXACT reason everyone else has changed their laws. IMO, if a person has the ***** too steal something from your yard, breaking in and doing as they please is not a big step away. Do you have any info on Texas stats concerning stealing and breaking in compared too the nation? Should be interesting.

Gary,
No, not offhand (on the stats). I will and do help others. You can come by and I won't shoot you. I don't know how would handle taking someones life, but it would be better than them taking yours.
I have read about some cities that have easy gun laws and crime stats show a decline. Ok, here is a good example: Australia. Violent crime skyrocketed since they outlawed guns. Criminals prefer unarmed victims.

Oh, I do have them for hunting, but other uses are a added benefit.

Texas is a whole different state on its own its a seperate country practically ! ask anyone who lives there includeing George Bush ( and Im dam proud of them I never met a bad True Texan yet) they have the border to deal with constantly and yes its like every where else in the country,Thats the problem, people need to fight poverty by working thats the problem they got to suk the workin man dry including his possessions there is always work in THIS country, a person might not want to do it, but we all agree its better than robbing your fellow man no matter what color because most of us work for what we earn! it is just disgusting to walk out and your stuff is gone just awful FIGHT POVERTY & DRUGS GET A JOB Thats what my plate says on my bumper. Sorry to hear about the loss. I'll keep my ear to the ground over here. A lot of major events are held within a 100 mile radius of me. Maybe the cops will find it, they do check vins periodically. At least they do around here. Any pictures?

Going off "half-cocked".....Seems like Gary is a little trigger happy to me........

I really appreciate everyones concerns. for those of you keeping a look out for the quad, here are some things to look for.
crack in plastic under right front head light
brand new rear plastic with no safety stickers or VForce stickers
black Shockers shock covers
I have the key so the ignition may be changed
and its bone stock
and green
here are tha last 6 digits of the Vin. # 508053
I dont want to give the whole vin # for safety reasons.
thanks for keeping an eye out.
