Could there be a new KING? Suzuki takes first in Utility Modified today, Is this how they will make there debut for the King Quad? I was checking results to see how the battle of the Big Bore's went between Farr and Kilbey? Kilbey was no where to be seen on the results? and Farr took 2nd to Brandon Lockhart on a Suzuki, King Quad? Anybody have any news???? ~coop

Hmmm...The Suzuki machine was a modified what? The Kawasaki machine was a modified what? I'll admit I'm not familiar with the riders, but it seems that if both Suzuki and Kawasaki modified the Kawasaki Prairie 700/Twin Peaks its rather meaningless in that they don't sell such modified machines (or the modifications themselves) to the public. Correct me if'n I'm wrong, but the new King Quad is a paper quad at this point....therefore not eligible for bragging rights?

Moo,
WheelCow

I believe it was an Ozark 250. Think everyone else ran into troubles.... PW's quad overheated, Stack physically ran outa gas(camelback sprung a leak), Farr... I forget what happened, and Gonzalez not sure??

Ozark 250 -- Nice,,,,,,,,-lol. Hey Wheel Cow bragging rights?? don't sell such modified machines? What?~lol? I was just wondering if this was there debut? I heard the Suzuki King Quad was already out? The battle in GNCC's Utility Modified seems to have been heating up. I Thought the KQ as well as the BF would be showing up? Im sure after the summer race break or next year we will be hearing about them. If you dont know the racers, Kilbey is a Kawasaki Team Green rider and has been champ for sometime, not sure how long? I beleave hes on his way to another GNCC championship? (very nice guy also sold me a cool bumper~lol) Farr is running a Mickey Dunlap 785 and in his last two races against Kilbey and Team Green has won. I thought Team Green was going to debut there 770 kit on Kilbeys Quad? but dont know what happpen? do you know doug? oh congraulations also!! Looks like YOU had another good race! Check out the FuN! and you can read about GNCC racing! Web Site www.gnccracing.com

Oh what a trip,,, I just got home from the race and even tho things didn't go as planned at the race we had a blast!
Tommy Farr had just put new handle bars on mine and didn't get them tight enuf and they went back to his knees and then all the way to the hood so he had to pull off on lap two to tighten them!

We took Alex Gronbach on a slightly modded 700 P and from the start he was third into the woods, by the time they went through scoring he was first and half way through the second lap he looked down and seen the temp light on,,, this has been a reoccuring problem! I told Alex before the race to watch the temp and if the light came on to get off the track, rebuilding the engine is not worth winning the race. He did as I told him to do but it was killing him because we have never ran a GNCC race and he was pumped and ready for the win!!! We went there to race and bring home my FST 785 Prairie Tommy was riding, it was the last race for it to be run in the GNCC and now I get to have some fun on it myself! Mickey and Tommy have been great to work with and Tommy did a great job with it for the short time he got to ride it!
Gonzalez was on a borrowed Grizz and had never raced one before, he rolled it hard and took it to the pits!

MarylandATV,
Whoa...hold the phone there! What is this all about? A new 770 kit being offered by WHOM? Kawasaki? I know Mickey D. sells the 785/800 bbk and I heard that Mike P. sells a 770 bbk...but what is this about a new 770 kit being debuted soon? Is Kaw. going to offer this as an option or are you referring to a Mike P. bbk?

Happy trails...

-KOD it could have very well been an Ozark! Its the Rider so much more then the ride sometimes. I ride with a guy name Caleb from time to time and last year he flew on his Warrior in the GNCC.

-Prairiewrench now was it really an Ozark? or was it a Twin Peaks?~LOL~ And I'm glad you all had a good time! Sorry about the overheating, It looks like you guys where on your way to chalking up another one? Maybe you all will venture east again next year??

-MikeyB, The PBR 770 kit is NEW, It has been in the works for sometime but I think it was just in the last week or so that it had been installed. I thought they would be breaking it out for this race?

**Al-those I did hear from someone on the inside that kawasaki is working on a 1000cc EFI for 08??

I'm not sure myself, I was told a Twin Peaks won it and the someone told me it was a 250! I was busy trying to get our other guy ready for the afternoon race and then that wonderful rain hit! Jerrod on his YFZ 450 came over a hill, slid into a pile up at the bottom,, helped several others get their quads unstuck and found himself left behind,,,,,,,,,,,,,,stuck! He sat there till the last 15 minutes of the race before a track official came and pulled him out! I guess it's just like they say, nice guys do finish last!
As for Alex on the Prairie, yes, I do believe he would have won the mod class. Tommy told us after the race that when Alex went by him and kept going and going,,, he said he didn't think he would catch him!
I almost regret telling him to pull off but I believe it was foir the best, not much to really gain from this race other than some bragging rights but after seeing how well he did in 1 1/2 laps, I have no doubt we could do well!
We did have fun but man am I tired,, I got up Thursday at 6:30 am,,, worked all day,, loaded the rest of the trailer, and then we took off for Ohio, we drove straight through, went to the track and set up. That night we went to the hotel and I had no sleep for over 38 hours! Got up again on Sat. at 6,, went to the race all day, back to the hotel and celebrated the fact that we had actually been there( it was suppose to be a victory celebration) LOL!!! Then we got up Sunday at 5:30, got breakfast and headed for home, we got to my house at 10:30 last night! I have no idea how anyone can afford to do this all the time or have the energy to do it!!!!

The 770 in Kilbys has been in the works for a while from what I heard and Scott was on vacation, that is why he did not attend this race.

The 1000 cc,, I have been hearing about that for a few years now, from what I was told along time ago, the first of the prototype prairies built were 1000 or going to be but nothing ever came of it!
