Default ? for anyone who has replaced 4wd actuator

My 4wd actuator on my 2003 650 Prairie is fryed. Got water in it. Anyway I am going to order a new one from Ron Ayers. My question is do I need to order the square collar that is on the end of the actuator also or does that come with the new actuator. It lists a separate part number for the collar but I don't what to order it if I don't have to. Not sure how the old one comes off the fryed actuator. Thanks for your help.

You can remove the old piece as the new actuator does not come with. Ther is a small pin that you need to remove and the square piece pops off. Did you only have the six month warranty, because it could be a warranty item if your dealer isn't an ***, mine was covered both times.

Hellyea is correct, the collar is a seperate part or you can just remove the old collar & put it on the new one.. I have now replaced 2 4wd actulators & think Kawi's design for them leaves much to be desired!! I have now put silicone around the actulator cover mount to TRY & prevent water from getting in there again, at $200+ a pop do what you can to try & prevent any future problem..
