Got The Second Mold Run of the 26" ATRs'
#1
History.
I got the first run ATR 26" tires and the rears are taller but the fronts were exactly the same height as the 25's. I called ITP and ended up sending them in months ago. They called and informed me due to this and other QA issues they were re-tooling the 26" molds. Fronts and rears. The slow hard to find leak was just one of them. They said they went up a tad on the rears and lots on the fronts. For my patience and trouble they sent me a full set. New second run fronts and rears. I am saving the new rears. My old ones only have a few hours on them.
Well, the 2nd run fronts are taller than the 25's. And a Tad taller than the first mold run of the 26's.
But,I still have almost 4" of rolling distance difference between the fronts and rears.
On the first run of the 26's, the fronts were a full inch shorter than the rears. That is with 5 psi rear, and 6 psi front. The rears measure an even 26" and the first run 26" measured 25", just like the 25" tires did. This is measuring with the 03 P650 on the ground using a ruler and a level. And making sure they are sitting on the lugs centered at the bottom.
Now the second run 26 measures a full 1/2" taller than the first run @ 25.5".
Hey NYROC and any other person that knows tires? Can it be the Radials foot print has different rolling characteristics than bias tires when one is wider than the other?
I tell you, they ride great. I insist they ride better than the 25's. They steer great in and out of 4x4 and go in and out of 4x4 nicely. Top speed difference between 2x4 and 4x4 is barley noticeable.
All in all, I am happy. I got the front tires up in size and a new set of rears free.

I saw a "new" ITP brand on ebay yesterday, they were called Ducks unlimited wetlands, I think and were radials 26' tall with a tread in between the mud lite and titan 489, they were 274 for front and rear looked good....do you know anything about them?

I don't know much about the Ducks Unlimited items that are being sold but I do know that Ducks Unlimited has done some tires and a warn winch and some other ATV products with the DU logo on them. It is a DU promotional deal
