Default V Force Clutch Kit

I am looking to put in a clutch kit in my 04 V Force 700. I do only trail riding and no racing. However I can always use more accerleration. If I only ride trails will the clutch kit be alright or is it only geared toward racing only? What is actually gained by performing this mod? What difference do you see in riding? How difficult is the kit to install? Which kit do you reccommend, and where do you get it? Does the belt have to be replaced as well? I have noticed while climbing a grade or accelerating my belt makes a slipping or scratching-like sound, I have read that the kit is good at keeping the belt tighter on the pully to help fix this, is this true???
Thanks for any responses!

The blue primary spring that comes with the Dalton kit is well suited for trail riding.

2.What is actually gained by performing this mod?

Better acceleration and extended belt life.

3.What difference do you see in riding?

Faster acceleration from takeoff through top speed.

4.How difficult is the kit to install?

Not complicated at all if as long as you order a clutch puller along with the kit.

5.Which kit do you reccommend, and where do you get it?

Dalton kit. www.daltonindustries.com

6.Does the belt have to be replaced as well?

As long as your origional belt is still in good shape, you can use it.

7.I have noticed while climbing a grade or accelerating my belt makes a slipping or scratching-like sound, I have read that the kit is good at keeping the belt tighter on the pully to help fix this, is this true???

yup.

700.. I use my V for trail riding a well as drag racing and found that by combining the Dalton kit with a good aftermarket exhaust, you get one he|| of an improvement. When I'm planning on doing some trail riding on a certain day, i'll use the dalton blue primary spring and when dragging is in order, I just slip in a more aggressive spring. The Dalton kit is well worth the money and the performance improvement is very noticable. Happy modding!!
