I cracked some plastic on my Bayou 300 last night... whats the best repair as they want $400 to replace it... tin and rivets, plastic welding or is there a better option??? Crack is about 12" long on the front left fender above the mud flap on my Bayou 300 4X4...

USe a soldering iron on the backside to make it stick together temporarily.
Sand the backside really rough and use Goop on the bacskide (a wide patch, not just alittle bead). If it is upside down, use spent dryer sheets latered in the Goop to keep the Goop from running.
Goop sometimes takes days to dry but is vastly superior to epoxy and other adhesives.
It you want to get high tech, there are some kits out there that will fix it better than goop.
Also, colored plastic zip ties are better than rivits and tin. Get small ones and drill little holes,
Also, if you get parts from www.ronayers.com you won't pay as much.

i just got done fixing a crack in the front fender of my bayou. what i did was i found a piece of old broken plastic from a junk yard. then i used one of those dremel sanding wheels and made a groove along the whole crack. then i cut the junk plastic into like 1/4 inch strips and started to melt them in with a soldering iron. just make sure that the main plastic melts some so the new filled plastic will bond. and on the back i got a piece of steel window screen and melted it in. it is really strong now. to finish it i sanded it down starting with 60 then went finer and then used a heat gun to get rid of the white from sanding.
