160 jets in V
#4
I am running 158 f-160r, .020 needle shims with Muzzy's, K & N, OW, DG snorkle and hood vents cut at or near sea level. I am a little rich-- the insulator is brown but the base ring is half dry soot and half a little rich looking(almost damp)..I think with today's fuels the insulator is not going to show brown at the proper mixture as much as in the past. My plug would be perfect for a 2 stroke.

Here's a little tip, On my buddys v-force he has twin yoshi and k&n airfilter, We made it a little leaner than stock which i think was a 130 and 135. Smokes every 700 that we have ran into, Do your self a favor and try it, Changing the jets in a v-force only takes about 8 mins.

Dumbas$ guestion: did you make your own shims or buy them?I'm at .015 now. No one around here sells them.

Mine ran great with the factory jets after the I installed the exhaust, but at low rpm it would sputter. Since then I had began making air box mods and obviously it ran lean. I have a trip planned for this weekend and would like to get it dialed in a little better.

I used the Dynojet shims from the kit I took out, they were .023, I sanded them to .020.... have heard you can get them at a Harley shop. Always use genuine Keihin jets, not the cheaps-- genuine jets don't come in 1/2 sizes....
