Please discuss what tire are best for what situation, thanks

Would some knowledgeable persons please discuss the different types of tires and what is best for different terrains? For example, On the Brute Force. What would be a good tire for rocky/dirt with down trees and lots of steep hills/slopes. I may be pulling a load from time to time i.e. logs. I wouldn’t be interested in burying myself in mud so the tires like the mudlite probably are not for me, is that correct? What size is best for a BF and when would a tire be too large? Is it best to go wide or tall? Is it true that there is a “set-in” period after mounting new tires and you should not drive them hard for x amount of miles? Thanks for any advice.

hey,
Thanks for the reply. How about the sizes. should the tires in front be narrower than the tires in back? and if you would be climbing steep hills or be on inclines most of the time what height is best. The BF has 25 inch tires on it now. It doesnt feel tippy, to me anyway. But I was thinking if I had larger tires it may become tippy. Also, are the rims important? I mean is it a waste to buy a better tires and keep the standard stock rims?
Thanks again for your time

I think probably a tire like the Maxxis Big Horns or even GBC dirt devils would do well for what you are intending to do. go to the maxxis site and check out the big horns. everyone that has them really seems to like them. If I were you I would keep the same size tires as stock. 25-8-12 front and 25-10-12 rear. they will do all you want and more. Good Luck!

Thanks, I read your review. What is the difference in the C-series rims. I see a type 4, 5 ,6. Also, I did a search on the net and the prices really vary. For example, I see one site has the tires for 67.00 and 70.00 but another site has the same for 101 and 103. What is a range I should accept as reasonable for the price on the tires. And the rims. When they say kit does that mean you get all the rims for the 550 bucks or so? what is reasonable on the price for rims? thanks for ya'lls time!

the difference in the c series is the style of the wheel. Just bought a new Brute Force! After all these years of sport quad riding there is a high performance 4x4 and i am in love Ill have some pictures as soon as i get the new mud lites on it. gonna go with 26x10x12 fronts and 26x12's on the rear . looking most for the stability and if i lose a little steering ease big deal im riding a mountain goat not a cheetah.
