Had an oppurtunity to ride the sp 700... and it is definitely far more cushy than the BF... I think a lot of that is right in the seat alone, way more plush than the BF's. At the end of the day, still wouldn't trade my Brute for the SP700... just a lack of power for my taste.

highlifter doesnt make anything that will soften the ride only make it harsher or raise the capacity. this is basically what they sell. i tried posting a link but for some reason it wont let me. just go to www.highlifter.com and take a look. they are yellow and are called high capacity/lift springs.

Sorry, I didn't relize the highlifters were just stiffer unit springs, I got the impression from reading a few post over on H/L that that was the way to go instead of the more expensive WORKS or Elkas.
Your best bet is to go with the Aftermarket shocks, either Elka or WORKS.
You don't have to do all 4 at the same time. I'd go with the frts first.
If you go with the aftermarket shocks be sure to get the adjuster preloads too, then you can adjust the shocks to any setting you need.
A pr of the WORKS Steeler ATs start around $379 just for the basic set-up, no adjusters. The preload adjusters Can Be added on at a later date. That is how I did it when I ordered my WORKS. I 1st spent $765 for all 4 WORKS Shocks, then a year later I had the preloads & res'es installed, turn-around time in sending the WORKS shocks back to WORKS was only 8 days & I had them back & reinstalled.
Total investment for my WORKS Steeler ATs w/preload adjusters & the remote Res'es was $1225.
The res'es are not required with the preload adjusters, I just got them b/c they give the Shocks & the Brute that "Trick look" But WOW, the res'es are a Plus too.
You won't believe the Improvement with the Aftermarket shocks, even if you just go with the Basic set-up.

can i take the shocks off a king quad 700 and put them on my brute 650i? i went to dealer to look at setup and looks like they would bolt right up. are they both the same mounting bolts? i figure there must be a standard for at least most of them. polaris looks like a different setup from online pics but i dont' know.

that would be AWESOME to put a pair of used king quad shocks on my 650i.
help me out guys.
can i do it?

yea they have a much softer spring rate than the brute force.
i think if i can get them on it will be much easier on my buttox than stock ride.
plus if they are a little shorter than ours, it will ride lower too!
imagine getting some of the ride benefits on another four wheeler coupled with the power of the v-twin!
someone find or sell me king quad 700 shocks and i will gineau pig them for us all.
