anyone who has replaced a clutch.....help quick
i am replacing the clutch discs on my friends bayou 300. I have a good idea of how to do it since i did the same job on my lakota about a month ago. What i was wondering is how to align the friction plates. I know that the tabs have to be aligned so they can fit in the clutch housing, but do the little notches on the tabs have to be aligned?
thanks

ok
i lined up all the clutch plates(with all the notches in a straight line), when i put everything back together i looked it over and found that i could move all the clutch discs inside the basket very easily. I took everything back apart and tried doing it again, and found the problem. After i put the plates onto the clutch hub, the pressure plate wouldnt go all the way onto the clutch hub. It seems like the circle in the middle of the pressure plate wont fit into the hole in the clutch hub. Do i have the plates on wrong..........and what do the numbers mean on the plates? How do i put the plates on correctly?
thanks
