my lakota came without a string on the pull start....

Default my lakota came without a string on the pull start....

and im wodnering what I should do? should I take it to a shop and have it done and get chared out the a$$? or Is it easy enough To put a new one on? I havent dared too take the cover off of thing because I have no Idea what im doing. anyone ever put a new string on? whats involved in the process of it?.....

.... Well-- the sad truth is that if you really don't have any familiarity with such things, unfortunate as that is- then you'll just have to take it in the old pooper....

Default my lakota came without a string on the pull start....

i have never put a pull rope on a lakota, but if its the same as on a quadrunner it will be easy to do. you just need to get some good nylon rope.

take off the pull start cover there should be a spool thing.

take that off but be careful bacause there is a spring under it which makes it recoil back in, and if it comes loose its a pain in the *** to put back in.

then just put the new rope on use a figure 8 knot. then you just put the spool back on and wind it up then fish the rope through the hole in the cover.

i normally pull it all out and put visegrips on the rope near the hole that way i can tie the end to the handle easier. use a figure 8 knot again on the handle and your done
