Suggested winch for '03 Prairie?

I would recommend a warn there is a shop here in louisiana that sells Warn 2.5 kits with fairlead for 275.00 to your door and 3.0 kits with fairlead for 375.00 to your door. If you are interested, here is there phone # it is Trax Motorsports 1-877-289-6686 I hope this helps you. I have the 2500lb. It does a great job the 3000lb would be the best but for 100$ I would personally go for the 2.5. By the way that is the best price I have found by far.

cwg,
Warn winches have been pretty good to me. The only downfall that I have seen is that they need cleaning at least once a year if you ride in alot of mud. I would actually suggest once about every 9 months or so. I just take mine off and remove one side at a time. That way, I don't get the gears mixed up again. Degrease everything and remove the mud. re-pack it with grease, make sure you don't pack it all the way, only about half or so, and put it back together. You may find some problems before they leave you stranded in BFE. I haven't tried the ramsey yet because my P-700 had a deal for a warn 2.5 for $69.00 more so I couldn't pass it up. Good luck

Just got a Ramsey (non wireless) off e-bay with roller fairlead, mount, and it is the #3000 version shipped to my door for $350.
It came from The Checkerd Flag out of Texas and I had it in my grubby little paws in 2 days!

I would say the Ramsey 3000# with wireless remote is the best way to go, not alot more money but you can't get much more convienednt than the wireless . I had a buddy with a 2500# waren and the first time he went to use it to pull his sportsman out of the mud it was stuck in, and it just would not pull it out I had to back up to it with my P650 and pull it out with a tow rope. whats the point in having a winch if It can't pull a quad out of a little mud. Ramsey is the way I am going to go when the time comes.
