Default BF stumbles at about 10 to 15 mph

Bought a Brute Force saturday and I've noticed a slight miss or hesitation at this speed. Could this be related to the variable timing? This is my first Kawi V-Twin so I'm a little unfamiliar with it's nuances. Also, a couple of times I high centered on a log and when I let off the throttle it died. It has less than two hours on it. Anyone have some tips for a recovering YAMAHOLIC!

there's nothing wrong with being a yamaholic, we all live and learn. I know my brute force came from the factory set very lean, it would backfire sometimes and hesitate but from a stand still. After adjusting the air fuel mixture a little richer it fixed the backfiring and hesitation. Mine also would stall when I was hard on the throttle and would let off in the mud, I rasied the idle a little and it helped, you still have a young motor though.

Thanks for the info. That'll be the first thing I check.

Is it hard to get to the mixture screws? Any tips on doing this?
