Warn 3000 winch on Brute??

Warn 3000 winch on Brute??
Has anyone with the Kawi Brute winch plate mounted a warn 3000 winch?? I was at the local shop today and they said that the winch plate would NOT fit a 3000, only the 2500. If so I guess I'll be waiting for warn to build a mounting plate that is due this november.
