The plan sounds good but i have a few more suggestions:
1. take off front and rear rack mount bars.
2. take tool box and mount off if your not using it
3. mud flaps
4. if you want to get serious take off the rear grab bar and shave the plastic.
Renthal bars are nice and durable. www.rockymountainatv.com
As for the heel guards, if you have the tools make your own smaller thinner ones.
Talk to big chris for the total weight loss of all these modds, i remember him doing them before.

O.k, I can't tell you how much weight you can exactly lose, but I can tell that I have definately lost some weight. The fly aluminum handle bars are pretty durable and I found them on ebay. As for the heel guard well they do make aluminum ones, except I have only found them on www.Justatv.com
Good luck on the diet. Let us know if you find out some new stuff that every other lakota owner hasn't.

Hey,
Run A search on "Lakota Weight Loss Program"
I tell what to remove, and about how much it takes off,
Right now I have my Lakota weighing right in at about 400lbs
Take off any thing and everything you don't need!
see my pic's for some Ideas, of whats missing that is!
