Default P700 will a Dyna CDI do what I want

I have a stock P700 with 28" gators (the gators were way out of balance) the only complaint on the 700 is gas mileage and the cooling fan runs way too much. Will adding the CDI help. I am not looking for more top end because I never top it out and so far as bottom end it will pull wheelies already. I think that advancing the timing will help with the heat but gas mileage I do not know.

The jetting is a little rich and I am not going to get started on tweaking the carbs until I try a Twin Air filter and see if it will lean it out just a little.

As always opinions are welcomed

The CDI wont help cooling, it didnt for me when I tried mine. You wont save on gas either, LOL just the opposite will happen. Not that the cdi will burn more by using it, its just that you will want to stay on the throttle more.
