This same thing happen to me and I was just cleaning it. I brushed them off while cleaning. I used some contact cement to put them back on and they seem to stay put.

Yeah, I too lost one of my caps permanently in the woods somewhere. Ape, BTW you are a sick b*tch! Just kidding! We ride together and he told me to expect them to fall off. What he didn't tell me were the excellent tips to open up the throttle periodically and screw the 10 hour break in period. I'd shoot him, but I don't wanna waste the ammo.
