Default Prairie & Dalton Overdrive Clutch Face plate

Noticed that prariewrench was runnning a Dalton faceplate on one of his Prairie 700s. Is dalton now making a bolt-on faceplate for the Prairies? Or, what do you have to do to get the faceplate to work on the 650 Prairie?

For those of you running the faceplates on your Prairies, what weights and spring setup are you running?

TUFF.. I'm running the Dalton cover on my 650... 1st off, you'll get no O.D. gear ratio advantage, with the 650 primary, the sheeves were changed on the 700 primary, that allow the Dalton cover to allow the sheeves to go closer together, allowing the belt to travel further up into the un-used top part of the primary... the cover is lighter, allowing the engine to rev faster, but you lose the "O.D." effect, on the 650 primary...

running the Dalton cover, disables the KBEC system, as there is no bearing in the cover for the KBEC actuator fork to contact... I'm running a V Force belt cover, but believe that most are just removing the "fork" from the KBEC actuator...

I'm going to get my 650 sheeves machined to allow them to go together even closer than the 700's, as I had just bought a replacement 650 Primary last year, just as the 700's were coming out, & it is still in great shape...
