Default 750 engine in a 650 prarie???????

I was just wondering if anyone had done this or maybe even tried to put the 750 cdi in the 650? They have to be very similar and should be easy to convert over.

Any thoughts?

I dont know for sure but the Dyna CDI is probably cheaper than a new stock CDI. In the Dyna CDI it is the same PN# for the prairie and the brute, except the 01 and 02. Dont know what is different from 02 to 03 though. Good question about the engine though that would be interesting.

As far as the motor, you would have to buy a brute and take the motor out or find one recked.

I tried to buy a motor from Kawasaki and I was told they don't sell there motors seperate.

one question ... why ??? with my 750cc FST big bore kit, & a few custom mods, on my old '02 650 Prairie, I destroy Brute forces, or any other quad for that matter... now that the 650 kits are bumped up to 765cc, & the 700 kits are 800cc, the FST cams are much more performance based, & the compression ratio is much higher, again, why would you want to even mess with an enemic 8.8 to 1 compression 750cc engine ( unless of course, you were going to "build" a Brute motor ), I wouldn't waste my money there...

Mine has been installed around a year now... & I had posted this several times... I'm just stalling, while I try & remember.... I think at the time, I paid $1,300.00, for the FST kit, with the very radical cams, & heavy duty valve springs, piston assemblies, sleeves, & head gaskets ...$500.00 for machining ( I had my heads planed, they were warped, & the jugs bored to fit the new sleeves, & the sleeves bored, to fit the new pistons )... I had my heads flowed on a flow bench, & a valve job, & the heavy duty valve springs installed ... cost another $500.00, & had the local dealership do all the install, for $700.00 more...

the look on DS-650 owners faces, when a 700lb utility quad blows their doors off... PRICELESS
