Default NEED MORE POWER!!! 2001 PRAIRIE 400

Where and how can I get more power out of my 2001 Prairie 400. Clutch? Jet kit? Filter? Dont have a clue but I know you power nuts can steer me in the right direction. Never thought I would be doing this but I got to have more. Cant afford one of them Big Boys right now so want to beef up what I got.

I think the Kawi 400 has plenty of power for me. But if I had to add more, I would start with an exhaust pipe and rejet the carb. Maybe open up the intake a bit, but I dont like K&N filters, too much dust gets through. Intake and exhaust is a pretty proven thing for most bikes. Then a clutch spring change will add some seat of the pants difference in takeoff. If warn only made a 424 kit for the 400, I think it would open up quite a bit of power to the rear wheels. Good luck

i'd start with a filter/slip on and then rejet accordingly..if thats not enough then i would play with the clutch springs..no more power but noticable gains in off the line hit and acceleration...if thats still not enough then its time for a 700.......
