Dyna CDI or DG5
#1
I know there have been very little if any comparisons with the different modules for the Brute. I have no experience with these. What knowledge I have is from reading the different forums. Does anyone have any idea as to which of the above units would provide the better overall performance enhancements? I know the CDI is a plug in unit that replaces the stock CDI. This would be the easiest to install. However, I would go with the best overall performance. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Since the topic is going.......does anyone know if the Dyna CDI for the Kawi700/AC650 works for the BF750?
Edit: nevermind.....answered my own question by visiting the Dyna website...they are the same part#.

I put on the dg3 first then added timing key. Got expensive having dealer no everything. First dg3 didn't work. 1 hr labor then second dg3 1/2 hr. then key 2 1/2 hr. then lost top speed somehow still don't know why so had them check it again another 2 1/2 hr. to make sure in right. Then wasted more time trying to get them to retard cam timing. The dyna advances to 33* with out key and holds the timing at the end while the dg whatever probably will not. Easy to install dyna.

i installed the dg5 today and it gained very little over flipping the switch to off . i have 26 mudlights on it, and i have to work to get it to wheelie. Did i get a bad one? it seems alot of people said the difference was incredible. Putting in the black secondary spring and the maroon primary spring had a much better performance gain??/ help anyone thanks

Sounds like wiring or you got a dud. Double check your wiring & voltage to module & DG recommends soldereing connections. I had the original holeshot module and full throttle would stand it on the bumper below 10MPH

I had the same thing happen to me. I called in and some engineer called me back and asks me stuff about the flashing led. Turned out to be a bad connection on one of the wires. When I fixed it and tried it, I almost flipped over cause I wasn't expecting it so much.

You can replace a module with the simple installation of an EPI Red Spring. The spring engages at 3500 rpm the same rpm that the module advances the timing to. A CDI is the only way to go performance through the whole spectram of rpm range.
