I bought mt '04 P 700 in March for $9222.00 plus taxes. That was the best price that I found in NB. I would say you are getting a pretty good deal. They gave a 3 year warrenty with my bike at no extra cost also.

I'm pretty good friends with the Kawi dealer here so I got a better than normal price. That and I sell them tools at a pretty good discount, good to have a network.
I don't really go hard core mud bogging, but I've yet to get it so stuck that I couldn't get it out by myself.
The thing just doesn't go well in the snow though. Last winter I used a V-type tire pattern with studs, but when it gets too much traction, the tires spin on the bead. On hard packed snowmachine trails on the lake it was alright, deep snow, no chance. I'm hoping to clear enough of a bonus at the end of this year to get a track kit for it, if there's enough left over after the Elka's that is.
