Help Please, Praire 360 4x4
Hi All, i am in the process of purchasing a 2004 kawasaki praire 360 4x4 ATV, however i have a concern regarding a weird noise coming from a component mounted in the tranny drive belt area.(on top,Black electronic component) It only appears to make noises when the ignition key is turned on. It's a one time noise approx 5-10 secs after the key is turned to the on position. (note: started button has not even been pushed yet) Has anyone experienced this??? It may be normal??? I have no idea. This is my first Kawasaki purchase, is the praire 360 4x4 a good machine?? Thanks in advance for any and all info. Dan

well, as soon as i read this i ran out and tried to here what mine does when i turn the ignition on. Right when i turn it on the box you were talking about, made a slight chirp of the sound it makes and then nothing. But when i turn it off, abot 3 secs later the box comes on again and last for about 5 to 10 secs. All that is is the kebc reseting but i dont why yours does it when you turn it on. later

Thanks for the reply. Now that i think about it, it also "talks" when the key is turned off also. I thought it may have been an electrical component related to the"loose belt" indicator light. I'm guessing the noise coming from it may be normal. It does "chatter" when key "on" and when turned off also. I'll be buying used, so i want to make sure this is not going to be a problem. I'm surprised there is no odometer/hour meter on the machine. taker easy.

My 03 P360 makes these same noises so I would guess your hearing normal stuff.
You can get an hour/speedometer add on for about a hundred bucks. Easy to put in. Especially if, like me, you have a talented son to do it for you.
