Hell guys i'm back! What Styelz said is right on, but we did do a top speed drag race. Right in front of my drive way. I won that but like he said only a few feet!! Overall the Z250 and lakota sport are about the same when they are stock but put some parts on the lakota and it's a whole new quad!!! I would know mine is crazy now!!! I have drove Styelz quad and it does have some ***** for a 250!!! No i'm not saying like a 250R but for a 4 stroke that quad is fast!!! Mine is on the heavey side which is why lakota are not as fast as they should be but beginning based on the bayou 300 motor i thimk that lakota's do the job and get it done right!!! My lakota has never failed me and i'm happy to say that!!! NEWDUCK if you could get some prices that would be great! Also what do you think if i order the stock size tire and rims but in aluminium would they beable to bolt right onto the hub!!! Also do you know where i would beable to find some aluminiums wheels for the front!!! Thanks!!!

ok for some .190 aluminum rims are 48.99 a piece and for some front .190 is39.99 a piece but if you are going for .190 then you should get the t9s they are the same price. steel for the back is 27.00. my rims together for the back were 82.00(the alumi ones)

Yeah, Gaff, had the 330 kit for the Lakota. The only place I know where you can get it FST (Four Stroke Tech., Micky Dunlap). He's a supporter of this site. I know he has taken his website down because he doesn't have the time to keep up with it. You'll need to call him. Do a search on here, I'm sure his # is here somewhere.
I believe Gaff had around $350 or so in the kit. He did all of his own work, so I'm not sure what the machine shop costs and stuff would be. I'd prob. count on putting $500-600 installed. He raced it MX and Arenacross. He was able to hang and frequently take 400EX's off the start. He did very well with it. It's heavy, but if you can handle it, you can do well. Not sure what the top speed would be, though. 98LAKOTA posts on here, too. I know he races and does pretty good on his Lakota, too. He, too, was one of the original Lakota modders, at least on here.
For what it's worth, I have 2 buddies, 1 had a Z250 and the other a 250EX. It's not even a race. Granted I'm piped, jetted, ect and they are stock. My wife's trailblazer is stock and kills both of them off the line, but they pass it top speed. Just think if only the Lakota weighed what the 250's do...
