... if yer gonna keep the quad for any lenth of time, then by all means get the Brute. But then I'm a kawasaki person so I'm jaded. Though if gas mileage is a concern, then the King Q might be the ticket....

While I'll steer clear of the gonad discussion, I will reply to your statement. There is no doubt that the Brute's suspension is
on the soft side. But I have never found it to be overly soft in hardwood-bottom trails I ride in. Could it be better? Yes. I
can come into a sharp corner...hit the brakes and slingshot out without much problem. There is an emphasis on body english
and of course, that back-end squat from the power shot...but it is very possible without being overly awkward. The big help
for me in the cornering situation has come from the addition of Type 6's, 1.5 spacers and new rubber. Much improved over the
stock Brute....
Having said all that, your admission of second-hand information with the Brute and comparison experience with the KQ being
the basis of your argument doesn't mean you are a liar...nor does it mean anyone else is. Too many variables I suppose...
My "problem"(for lack of a better word) I suppose with your initial comments is that I find it really hard to believe that a person
who openly admits a lack of experience with a quad can make comparisons and judgements about performance of someone else's
ATV. IMHO.
Well when you see most BF owners get wider rims and spacers so that the BF will be more stable, then that tells me in stock form it's tippy. Even you yourself have done it. So when someone says in stock form with the shocks on the softest setting the BF isn't tippy, I will call him on it. Many will agree the KQ has less power, but handles better. To me when riding aggressive, I feel my KQ is tippy and I have my shocks on the stiffest setting. So how can a quad that is higher and narrower on the softest setting not be tippy? I guess some don't push there quads as hard and to them it doesn't feel tippy, but to openly say the BF isn't tippy, I feel is a unfactual statement. If it isn't, why do BF owners widen them?

I would think if you guys would stop pissing into the wind, maybe you could make some good statements about either machines. They are both great machines, most likely thought up at the same joint skunk works of both company's(suzuki and kawaski). Give it a break on you's got the most experience. Get out there and ride and have some fun, and get muddy

I think we all will agree that spacers and more offset wheels are added in an attempt to negate the unfavorable characteristics
which include the "tippyness" felt in off-camber situations and the stability in corners. You will get no argument here regarding
that. Of course, that doesn't change my assertions about what the Brute can do. That just means that Brute owners(much like
Grizz owners) want to compensate for shortcomings with those mods. It does not mean the Brute can't perform the above
described chore. Bottom line...we aren't likely to agree on this. But, just as you put it...I will continue to call people out who make
assertions I believe aren't true. Especially people who I feel haven't put in a significant amount of time on the quad in question.

Now, a few words regarding the KQ. I had the opportunity to ride on of the first ones sold in south Mississippi and was not under
the impression it was ever overly tippy in aggressive riding situations. Of course, I only had about 4 hours in the saddle and I
won't make any stong assertions toward that conclusion. More seat time would be necessary for me to make a solid judgement.
My riding was mainly limited to fire roads and a short jaunt around a motocross track. Not nearly enough to reach a good conclusion,
so if you say it is tippy...I won't put up too strong of an argument.

At any rate, as to what the somewhat eloquent poster above said, I believe I am indeed done "pissing in the wind".

if all these people worried about a tippy feeling would just go buy a prairie they would be happier, right? not to much of an issue on the tippy felling or the off camber stuff everyone seems to be moaning about. if the bf rides smoother than the king quad that should be the one that anyone that wants an irs quad would be happiest with, right? irs quads will never handle, slide, corner or for that matter be able to put as big a smile on anyones face as an sra machine will. polaris probably has as good an irs machine as there is out there that will probably pull more and ride better. so that being said, fun, or comfort. it is all in the eye of the beholder. just my ramblings.
